Metering

We specialise in coordinating the installation of electricity metering.

Our expertise and know-how will help you to ensure the swift delivery of projects within tight timescales and budgets. You need to know that you’re in safe hands so we will guide you through each stage of the process, keeping you informed and reassured every step of the way.

Solutions

Our compliance experts can help you to get the most from available schemes within our suite of utility-related compliance services.

Establishing Requirements

Before we can begin the process, we will need to establish the correct metering setup to accommodate all your needs. We will require the following information: Meter Installation Date Required Maximum Capacity (KVA) Voltage CT Ratio (if applicable) Estimated annual consumption Preferred contracting party If you require any advice or assistance to gather the above details, we would be more than happy to help.

Shipper Nomination and Meter Installation

When you are happy with your chosen supplier we will liaise closely with them to coordinate the meter installation. With years of experience we have built relationships and processes that often allow us to significantly speed up the installation process, saving thousands of pounds by avoiding unnecessary delays and enabling sites to open within tight deadlines.

Obtaining Meter Numbers

If you have not been provided with a meter point administration number (MPAN) by the network operator, we will submit the necessary documentation to the local distributor to generate the supply number on your behalf.

Procuring A Meter Operator (Mop) and Data Collector (Dc) / Data Aggregator (Da) Agreement

For all half hourly meters, a MOP and DC/DA agreement is required before an electricity meter can be installed. The price and terms of these agreements can vary dramatically and it is important to choose an agreement that best suits your needs. We have strong, longstanding relationships with a number of established MOP and DC/DA companies and we are confident that we can offer the solution that best suits your requirements.

24 hours

We can supply you with an accurate budget estimate for new connectivity requirements usually within 24 hours.

Supply Contract Negotation

Before an electricity meter can be installed, an electricity supply contract MUST be in place with the supplier of your choice. We can provide a comprehensive analysis of the most competitive supply offers available on the market, ensuring you receive the best possible prices for your desired requirements.

Amr and Smart Meter Roll Out

We can also assist in sourcing and coordinating the installation of AMRs (Automated Meter Reader) and Smart Meters providing you with greater visibility of your energy usage. Whether you simply require a single smart meter or a full rollout across your entire portfolio, we will be happy to manage the whole process through to completion.

To our fortune we were introduced to Andrew Richards at energeyes who we subsequently appointed to manage the ongoing utilities works. Energeyes wasted no time and the remaining works were dealt with and completed with efficiency and speed.
